Starting out as a Heifetz-trained child violin prodigy, he became a member of Bang on a Can and Steve Reich & Musicians and Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Project, and is performing and touring with the TR String Quartet and David Krakauer, Matt Haimowitz and Meredith Monk this year. Reynolds co-founded the Ethel string quartet, combining the classical ensemble with technology and multi-genre new music, and presents impassioned residencies and lectures on creativity and technology around the world.

Robin Cox Ensemble with violinist/composer Todd Reynolds -a very special concert with an extraordinary soloist.

Todd Reynolds is violinist for the Steve Reich Ensemble, Meredith Monk, The Books, Yo Yo Ma’s Silk Road Project, a founder of the Ethel String Quartet and endorsed by Ableton Live. He will perform works for processed violin/interactive electronics/video and premiere a commissioned work by Robin Cox with the full Robin Cox Ensemble.

After ten years, multiple CD releases, and 150 performances, this ensemble is recognized as one of the standout new music ensembles in the US. They will also perform some new works for RCE’s signature combo of violin, cello, marimba, vibes, drums, bass clarinet, and electronics.
